  • Week 5: Waterfall support, refactoring and fixing bugs

    Week 4 ended with the minimal waterfall sink. This week it landed on main and caught up to the line sink having complex and float inputs, a Display Domain dropdown, the same cyber_context lifecycle. Then I removed a GRC option that turned out to do nothing, fixed a binding-order bug.

  • Week 4: lineplot finishing touches, bugs and minimal waterfall

    Last week ended with a working multi-sink line plot, but with one inconvenient problem: the macOS main-thread constraint still forced every flowgraph to include a GRC Snippet block calling cyberether.present(). That block worked, it’s inconvenient for users to have to remember the block on every. I also added input-type variants (complex / float) and exposed Superluminal’s renderer-device choice to GRC. and Finished with a minimal waterfall sink implementation that is yet to be pushed.

  • Week 2 & 3: buffers, threading, and more

    Week 2 was reduced work due to my finals, no new deliverable just research and tying off the minimal line-plot sink from last week. Week 3 was applying that research. So this post covers both, and the more interesting story is the part of the plan that didn’t survive contact with the code.

    This is the first weekly update on my Google Summer of Code project with GNU Radio: gr-cyberether, an out-of-tree (OOT) module that brings CyberEther’s GPU-accelerated visualization (Superluminal) into GNU Radio flowgraphs as native sinks.
